Gyms certainly have their place. Let’s face it, without the health and fitness clubs, many of them never came together. There are certain people, and you may be one of this group who simply need a full gym-like environment, people, machines and weights motivate them to exercise. The atmosphere in the gym doing a lot to push some people into getting into shape. Whether it’s the sight of people are in better shape than we are, or maybe just the opposite, and there are people who feel better ourselves in a worse position; Whatever the reason, the health club is not much help thousands and perhaps millions of people exercise and better fitness levels.

Treadmills, stair steppers, spinning classes, aerobics, Tae Bo, kickboxing, yoga, pilates, the list goes on. All of these exercises and aerobic classes each appeal to different people, and if they exercise intensity and commitment, and effective. In most cases, these said activities carried out inside a building, usually a health or fitness club. Still I want to mention an activity that I feel healthier and be more physically stimulating than any other activities: hiking.

One of the best all-around aerobic activity that anyone can participate in hiking. The best part is that there is no fee, with practice, it can be done as nature’s own health club, an outdoor! Yes, I go to the gym and pedal, a run on the treadmill or stair stepper certainly the effort that you want to burn body fat and the body is not good. But in my opinion, a gym simply can not compete with nature. Off the top of my head, here advantages over seven hiking indoor aerobic activity:

1.Breathing crisp, fresh air is healthier than the intake of the body-odor sweat-laden air gym. It tastes better too!

2.Hiking stimulates and sharpens every physical sense.

3.Increases brain function.

4.Gyms crowded. You can not really alone in your thoughts in the gym full of people.

5.Costs less. Once I bought a good pair of hiking boots or shoes, no more fees.

6.You do not have to wait for a hike on the trail than you or the machine weights at a gym.

7.Outdoors diverse. Gyms are all pretty much the same.

In 2004, the results also published an interesting study involving pedestrians how it affects the fats and sugars in the blood of a person. Austrian researchers announced their findings after a thorough study comparing the effects of two selected group of people hiking. This happened at a ski resort in the Alps mountains. One group was moved up to two months, while the second lift transported to a higher elevation, and then moved downward. The switch groups own programs in two months thereafter, repeating the experiment.

The results showed that both the up and down hiking excellent health benefits. Both directions of walking reduced LDL cholesterol levels of the so-called “bad” cholesterol. Triglyceride levels reduced by hiking up so that while wandering down almost twice as effective in removing blood glucose and improve glucose tolerance.

This is a pretty amazing information. I always knew that hiking was good for the body, but this particular study breaks down, and shares information that I do not know. Researchers at the Vorarlberg Institute for Vascular Investigation and Treatment those who carried out this intensive investigation. Until now, the benefits of walking could only theories and no true scientific information available. Hiking is really a big raise fitness levels and keeps us healthy!
